As part of Fairmount Elementary's Core Essential Values Program, these students were chosen by the faculty and staff at Fairmount Elementary for exemplifying the character trait, RESPECT. Focusing on a growth mindset, "RESPECT" is defined as "Showing others they are important by what you say and do."

Fairmount Elementary students, Pre-K through 5th grade, were specifically chosen to participate in our “Character Counts” breakfast.   Each staff member selected one student who demonstrated the character trait, “RESPECT”, for the month of February.  Parents were also invited to come and celebrate with their child.   Each student was presented with a breakfast and a certificate of appreciation.   For the month of March, the character trait is “FORGIVENESS.”  Our next breakfast is tentatively scheduled for Tuesday, April 11, 2017.    We would like to thank our business partners, K.C.’s Corner and Ingles for their help in making our character breakfasts a success.  We would also like to express our gratitude to the Coosawattee Masonic Lodge #306 for their kindness and monetary support in allowing us to continue with our breakfasts.
