On May 9, Fairmount Elementary students, Pre-K through 5th grade, were specifically chosen to participate in our “Character Counts” breakfast.   Each staff member selected one student who demonstrated the character trait, “HUMILITY”, for the month of April.   Parents were also invited to come and celebrate with their child.   Each student was presented with a breakfast and a certificate of appreciation.   For the month of May, the character trait is “Determination”.  It is best defined as, “Deciding that it’s worth it to finish what you’ve started.”  Instead of having a character breakfast, student honorees will be celebrated at the End-of-the-Year Awards.   We would like to thank our business partners, K.C.’s Corner of Fairmount and Ingles of Calhoun for their help in making our character breakfasts a success.  We would also like to express our gratitude to the Coosawattee Masonic Lodge #306 for their kindness and monetary support in allowing us to continue with our breakfasts.
