I graduated in 2005 from Pickens High School.  After high school I began college at North Georgia College and State University in pursuit of my Bachelor's degree in Early Childhood Education.  When my husband and I got married in 2008, I transferred to Reinhardt College where I finished my Bachelor's degree.  In 2012 I graduated from Piedmont College with my Master's degree and later in 2012 began work on my Specialist's degree.  I graduated in December, 2013 with my Specialist degree.  I intend on possibly pursuing my Doctorate in the future, but for the time being I am happy being a teacher, mother, and wife.

I began working in Gordon County in the afterschool program at Fairmount Elementary.  While I was in college I subbed in many classrooms in Gordon County.  After graduating college I was hired at Tolbert Elementary as a paraprofessional in the GNETS classroom.  In 2010, I was offered a special education teaching position at Swain Elementary.  I transferred to Fairmount in 2011 and have been in the fifth grade classroom since.

I am highly qualified to teach 5th grade.  I have a Bachelor's degree in Early Childhood Education with a reading endorsement and special education add on to my certificate.  I also have a Master's degree in Early Childhood Education and a Specialist degree in Teacher Leadership and Curriculum Instruction.

My name is Jessica Waters and this is my third year teaching 5th grade math and science at Fairmount Elementary.  I have been married to my husband, Stephen Waters, since 2008 and we were blessed with our beautiful daughter Bristol in 2010.  Teaching has always been my passion and I can't imagine doing anything else!
