I began my teaching career in Gordon County in 1993 at Sonoraville Middle School as an 8th grade English and literature teacher.  I transferred to FES after 8 years and have been here since that time. I was chosen as FES Teacher of the Year for the 2011-2012 school year. As a graduate of Fairmount High School and a native of this city, I feel especially honored and privileged to be a part of this small school with a big heart.

My qualifications to teach your child include a Bachelor of Arts in English from North Georgia College & University, a Masters of English Education from Piedmont College, and an Education Specialist Degree in Curriculum and Instruction from Piedmont College. My state certifications include Early Childhood Education (grades P-5), Middle Grades Language Arts and Social Science (grades 4-8), and English (grades 6-12).
